Ben Daughtrey, Editor:
Ben Daughtrey is a native son of Louisville Kentucky and no stranger to this business we call “show”. He first hit the stage as a teenager with the legendary punk rock band Squirrel Bait appearing on the pages of both Spin and Rolling Stone magazines.
He continued his musical career playing drums and touring the globe with alternative groups; The False Prophets and, Lemmon Heads. Frustrated with being a supporting player, he eventually moved back home to Louisville and formed the seminal pop act, Love Jones, who shortly thereafter moved to Los Angeles and secured a deal with Zoo/BMG records. They went on to release two albums, tour the country and appear on Conan O Brian, and Entertainment tonight and the film “Swingers”.
During this time Mr. Daughtrey Produced the feature film 100 Proof for Mammoth films that was accepted into the 1998 Sundance film Festival.
He currently works as a producer/editor. His credits include:
The Bachelor, Reno 911, and Intervention, to name a few.
Ben has been nominated for the coveted “Emmy” three times.
In addition, Ben starred as Kahlid, the Sensitive Jihadist in the irreverent musical, The Beastly Bombing, which went on to win “Best Musical of 2006” at the LA Weekly Theater Awards.
Mr. Daughtrey lives in Los Angeles with his lovely and tolerant wife and their two bewildered daughters.
