Premiering tonight October 14th on HBO: Tell Them Anything You Want, a documentary directed by Lance Bangs and Spike Jonze on the little known private side of Maurice Sendak’s life and the book he created that defined his career and generations of children’s imaginations, Where The Wild Things Are. Rumor on the entertainment street has it that this film is already a potential Oscar contender for Best Documentary Short (”shortlisted” in Academy-speak), so be sure to check it out and let your favorite giggling, puking, sleep-walking, and passing-out filmmaker Lance Bangs know that you love him so.

With Where The Wild Things Are set to hit theaters this October, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City has announced an exhibition entitled "Spike Jonze: The First 80 Years."

On the other end of the entertainment spectrum from where the "Shake Weight" lies is Where The Wild Things Are. Oddly enough, though, both evoke the emotional urge to laugh until tears of joy spurt from those ducts in the corners of my eyes.
