There’s really no wondering where the wild things are now. For the past 17 odd days they’ve been rumpusing at theaters across the United States and various other parts of the broader global village (check here for international release dates). But if you’re still curious about Spike Jonze—and you should be, he’s a curious individual with a healthy dash of deviancy for good measure—check out this link to a 22-minute long video interview with the man himself (special thanks to Tzinaki for sniffing this link out).

Premiering tonight October 14th on HBO: Tell Them Anything You Want, a documentary directed by Lance Bangs and Spike Jonze on the little known private side of Maurice Sendak’s life and the book he created that defined his career and generations of children’s imaginations, Where The Wild Things Are. Rumor on the entertainment street has it that this film is already a potential Oscar contender for Best Documentary Short (”shortlisted” in Academy-speak), so be sure to check it out and let your favorite giggling, puking, sleep-walking, and passing-out filmmaker Lance Bangs know that you love him so.
