Well kids, we made it to fifteen! I can’t believe you have tolerated me for this long, but I tend to think it’s only because you like seeing us open your stuff on camera, and not because you think I am a talented on-air personality. Either way, we are fifteen strong now, and are aiming for a “Sweet 16″ sometime in the near future. I can’t thank you all enough for all of the sweet stuff that you send us. We have gotten some great (and, to be fair, some not so great) gifts over the last year-and-a-half, and we could not have done it without all of your love and support. (more…)

last call – the disposable skateboard bible book launch party
Normally I'm not one to toot my own horn, but since it's Sunday I'm happy to present an extra-special huge edition of Last Call from the night of my big book launch party for The Disposable Skateboard Bible.

This is more than just a mere photo of the day. This is what I'd like to call the "Mike G. Litmus Test." You see, Mike G.'s currently in the South Pacific on his honeymoon.

last call – the michael jackson art show
On Friday, July 24th, people gathered. Not just anywhere, but at the 2Headed Horse Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, for the "Got To Be There" art show inspired by the life and times of the late Michael Jackson. Worthy of note, this show was conceived and curated by Scott Manning

Today is my 30th birthday, and as Trip Taylor so eloquently put it a couple of days ago: “Welcome to Deadsville.” I can’t say that I totally understand what he means, but I do think he’s jealous that he’s got a decade on me. I tried to tell him that he’s lived more than I, and trust me, he has… but I digress. My usual rambling text will be cut short this time and I’ll just let the video do the talking so I can go out and party like I am still 29. We literally have an action-packed mailbag this time with lots of special appearances, ranging from our usual suspects (like Crash and Wolfie) to those who like to elude camera as much as possible (Josh). We even have Chris Pontius and Loomis Fall stop by for their first mailbag appearance ever! (more…)

photo of the day – happy birthday, mike g!
We\'ve certainly had a lot of birthdays this past month, haven\'t we? This leads me to believe that something significant happens nine-to-ten months earlier to provoke mating habits within the human species.

thirteen lucky mailbags (with steve-o!)
Following in the footsteps of our master wordsmith, Sean Cliver, I decided to use the 13th installment of the mail to not directly talk about the mail at all, but instead to plug a great, somewhat forgotten record from 1995 by my friend Loomis’s old band, Wax.
