Okay, so Knoxville wrapped out the Zach Galifianakis talk show and everyone took a big, deep breath before going into Yo! MTV Raps starring Steve-O. With the studio on high-alert—no shit, I’m dead f’ing serious—everyone headed into “downtown” to hear him rasp his way through a fresh rap written just this evening, I think. But the real treat of the refurbished Yo! show was an extra special surprise appearance by Beavis and Butthead, courtesy of Mike Judge, who scathingly tore a new one into Steve-O’s new video for “Poke the Puss.” From there it was off to Mianus, where Bam, Pontius and Wee Man found things that no man has before. Curiously, our behind-the-scenes cameraman Lance Bangs lost his shit in Mianus and no man has done that before either. Let’s face it, Mianus rules. The hour came to a close down in the cold on Times Square, where the boys hooked up with some towering drag queens to do a little drag racing. “Drag Racing,” get it? Mark Lewman gets the credit for that one (if anyone remembers the “Scotch Tapir” segment from Wildboyz, that was a Lewman special, too).

It was with great pride we were able to present Mat Hoffman’s Tribute to Evel Knievel in hour 9. No one will ever know how hard this was to pull off amid all the other mayhem of 24-hour prep-work—it was literally a stunt in itself—but Knoxville put his head down and bullied his way through red tape and everything else that fell in his path (little did he know, however, that a bike would on his junk). I’d say it was well worth it, torn urethra and all. Bravo to Mat and all the boys for putting it on the line and going absolutely apeshit in the spirit of Evel.
