On Tuesday night, Dimitry Elyashkevich decided that he was going to do a live broadcast from his friend Jason’s apartment and alerted Josh to get off his ass and get a marquee up on the site. Josh went to do so, but in the process he caught the first part of the live stream which consisted of random outbursts like, “Is this thing on?” and “Can they see me?” before Dimitry whipped out a BB gun and proceeded to shoot and subsequently shatter a few things belong to his friend—one being a vase that his grandmother had apparently given him (or an urn containing her ashes, something like that). In Part 3 of Wildboyz Unclothed, Steve-O pretty much does just that. Well, only after a tromp through the Costa Rican rainforest to cook a steak at an active and bubbling volcanic vent—with unbleeped cusswords! But once the crew arrives at the sloth sanctuary, that’s where you really get a chance to see some wildery behind-the-scenes crap. I think we tried to prep a script-like thing for the first couple trips to South Africa and Alaska, but this was vastly ignored in the field. Wisely so, because it provided Nick Hutchings and his MTV UK crew with some prime footage of Chris Pontius and Steve-O whipping up a freestyled delivery on-site and in the thick of it (good thing those sloths weren’t going anywhere soon). The word “genius” gets tossed around a might bit to easy these days, but in this case its usage is more than warranted—it’s demanded.
I know, the title sounds ragingly redundant, but Wildboyz Unclothed is a behind-the-scenes special that was shot by Nick Hutchings in Costa Rica for the UK branch of MTV in early 2004. Over the next four days we’ll be rolling this out in four neat and tidy parcels to get you (and us) through the holiday break. In Part 1, you’ll briefly see an extremely tired Chris Pontius before Steve-O takes over and segues into one of his most troubling, nerve-wracking and perplexing times on Wildboyz: a bungee jump. Yes, that’s right, a bungee jump. Don’t worry, none of us understood the adverse psychological mechanics behind this one either. (more…)

Part 8 of the jackassworld road trip, in which our tourist trap visitors—Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Danger Ehren, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Mike Kassak, Loomis Fall, JxPx Blackmon, Scott Manning, Dimitry Elyashkevich, Mike G., Rick Kosick, and Sean Cliver—hit up a few local Santa Cruz skate parks before arriving at the mystery decision to stop at the world famous Mystery Spot. (more…)

It’s no secret that Dimitry has a problem with sweat. He can be sitting in an air conditioned office and his nose will still be beaded with perspiration. It’s just part of who he is, and I’d actually be more worried for his personal well being if his internal cooling system wasn’t running at full steam all hours of the day. What’s lesser known about Dimitry, though, is that he’s always dreamed of appearing in a large orchestrated dance number. (more…)
Part 7 of the jackassworld road trip, in which our fear-facing fellowship—Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Danger Ehren, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Mike Kassak, Loomis Fall, JxPx Blackmon, Scott Manning, Dimitry Elyashkevich, Mike G., Rick Kosick, and Sean Cliver—make a diversionary stop at the “Lost Boys” bridge in Santa Cruz, California. Here, hands shake, iPods drop, and a gutterpunk serenades, as tension mounts among the cast. (more…)
Part 6 of the jackassworld road trip, in which our ’80s skate spot shredders—Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Danger Ehren, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Mike Kassak, Loomis Fall, JxPx Blackmon, Scott Manning, Dimitry Elyashkevich, Mike G., Rick Kosick, and Sean Cliver—make a few scenic stops along Highway 1 to rip some prehistoric slabs of cement and view some local farting fauna.
Ever since I got rid of my $100 a month cable service my life has improved somewhat. I watch less “drek“ and more free quality TV through my rabbit ear antenna. Besides the great shit on PBS, every Sunday night I am treated to the Fox animation lineup, which includes The Simpsons and my favorite, Family Guy. This particular premiere episode was a jackass parody for the entire first act! What the fuck! They’ve done parodies before, like when Stew-O beat up his dad ala Bam, but this was the storyline of the show. They even did the “clipper cam” bit which is quite close to my heart. An air of pride and accomplishment filled my studio apartment as Mat Hoffman, Jason Searcy, and Shelton inhaled some of that air. Thanks Seth MacFarlane! Why don’t you go ahead and send me a signed cel of that clipper cam shot there, pal? The one that ends the act (you know what I’m talking about, the one where Peter gets buzzed when he’s down). Oh yeah! Let’s make that happen. —Dimitry Elyashkevich

By special request from one Tam O’Clannie, who sounds like a Irish leprechaun but is really a Canadian lumberjack, here is the photo that Dimitry Elyashkevich took of Chris Pontius at the Los Osos skatepark. I believe the name of the trick he is doing is the Bo Diddley, but for some odd reason I keep wanting to call it a Good Buddy (even though I know that’s a fakie invert of sorts, whereas this is more of a layback-to-tail deal). The first time I remember seeing Chris pull a Bo Diddley was at some random park in Fort Collins, Colorado, during our Big Brother Rocky Mountain tour in 1996 with the self-wetting Clyde Singleton (who, come to think of it, just may now be a candidate for tomorrow’s photo). That was also quite possibly the last thing Chris did on that tour because he soon fell victim to altitude sickness and took up fetal position in the back of the van for the duration of the trip.
