Can you remember exactly where you were when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded just moments after take-off on January 28, 1986? Some here, I’m sure, were no more than abused DNA strands in their future daddy’s pants, but I was 16-years-old then and sitting in English class at SPASH (no, that’s not meant to be a sound effect quip for the Challenger disintegrating in its iconic blast … it’s just the spazzy-sounding acronym of my old high school). Shuttle launches were still kind of big deal then, but the reason this was an even bigger televised deal than normal was the on-board presence of Christa McAuliffe, the would-be first teacher in space. Boy, that sure didn’t work out as planned. Anyway, this Thursday, September 24th, tune into the all-new episode of Nitro Circus at 10:00pm ET/PT to see Bam Margera’s big day out with the crew as they prepare to go where many have gone before: Uranus.

In this third charming episode, “Trust Your Pilot, Respect Your Monkey,” Rob Dyrdek reunites with past business partner DJ Greyboy in the revival of ’70s sidehack BMX bikes. Meanwhile, in mandatory sub-plot storyopolis, Interweb sensation and motivational speaker Joel Bauer is invited to come down to the Fantasy Factory, where he vastly improves Rob’s business card with a miniature erection and whips the facilitating Big Cat into professional shape … sort of. Guest starring BMX superstar Dave Mirra.
