I’m not familiar with Big Pun’s musical output, but he certainly has a flair for understatement. Big, really? Colossal Punisher or Fucking Huge Punisher would’ve been a bit more apt in the description department, but I can appreciate the subtlety of the whole “less-is-more” approach. Marketing-wise, anyone would be prepared for a big man, not a super-sized monolith such as this, so any third party expectations are always met and exceeded by a solid meaty mile. Anyway, perhaps this feature will hit too close to holiday home for some, what with its “big” emphasis, but that’s what friends are for. So this season, as you start hitting the dinner parties, snack trays, cookie platters, never-ending Chex Mix bowls, buffet tables, and pie parades, just imagine Chris Nieratko shuffling behind you asking some of the following questions from the interview he conducted with Big Pun for Big Brother magazine issue 36 (May 1998). And the only way to get rid of him is if you happen to be packing heat under one of your belly rolls. It worked for Big Pun. Sort of. Chris is a bit more tenacious than most, bless him.
