photo of the day – eddie barbanell

It’s official … Eddie Barbanell says Rick Kosick is #1! Eddie was in town a couple of weeks ago and while he was here he came to my house to watch the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight. Kosick was here, too, and was not so surprised to walk in and see Eddie in the new shirt I gave him. Rick was a good sport about it, as he loves Eddie and knows he was only giving him shit. Eddie of course loved the shirt as everyone wanted to take his picture.

All in all it was a good night and a great fight. It was one of those times when you hated to see either fighter lose because you kinda like them both. Cotto is a classy dude and hot as shit according to the ladies around the office. Oh, what am I saying, he’s good looking. I ain’t blind. Pacquiao was just too much, though. He was too fast and oddly too strong for the bigger Cotto.

And I am really getting off subject (subject being Eddie and Rick), but Pacquiao’s father attended the fight and the announcers said that that was the first fight of Manny’s he ever attended. I thought that was weird as shit, so I looked up the history between Manny and his father on the Internet and oh boy did I find a doozy of a story. A number of websites, including the Telegraph UK and USA Today, reported that Manny Pacquiao left home when he was 14 (and turned pro the same year) because his father ate his pet dog. ATE HIS PET DOG. How bummed would you be to come home expecting your dog to jump all over you with kisses only to see your father barbequing him on the grill. No wonder Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of his generation, talk about motivation!
