So I was really looking forward to sitting down with my old friend Josh Freese for this One Bourbon interview. Josh who is pretty much the best goddamn drummer on the planet (aside from Loomis Fall of course) has played in the Vandals, Devo, Sting, A Perfect Circle, and many more bands I can’t think of at the moment. He is such a sweet funny dude and I was really excited about this interview, but a couple of things were working against me this day namely booze and Rick Kosick. I forgot to goddamn eat before the interview and we all know how that makes me. On top of that Kosick was riding the cotton pony (and i may have not been the easiest to get along with, hiccup)  and he and I pretty much argue the whole time. At one point he tells me I suck at interviews, much to my and Josh’s delight. He even posted it to his Facebook page in the middle of the f-ing interview.

With all that said this is one of my favorite One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer’s and thanks to Dan Field for recommending I do it. More people need to know that Josh is not only a rad drummer but he is also a pretty unique and awesome mother-f-er and I hope you enjoy our time together more than Rick did. Ha ha ha… oh yeah, don’t forget to pick up a copy of Josh Freese’s new album “Since 1972″ on iTunes or wherever you can find it. Wahoo!!

Love,
Knoxville
