When I first sat down to think about all the people I wanted to interview for One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer, one of the very first people I thought of was Mike Judge. Not only is he one of my closest friends but he is also a brilliant f’ing guy. He is a goddamned big brained nut is what he is. He graduates college with a physics degree, gets a job as an engineer, quits that to play bass in a few bands, and then decides he wants to become an animator. Yes, he creates Beavis and Butthead and then King of the Hill. He also wrote and directed Office Space, Idiocracy, and the upcoming Extract (in theaters near you September 4th!). He is so insanely talented, and most of all he is a sweet dude. He is socially really shy, but if you get him to talking he is f’ing hilarious, especially when you ply him with booze like I did!

Also, I had the pleasure of getting to see Extract last night at the premiere in Los Angeles. It’s fucking classic. I think I ruined a lot of people’s experience of the film by my laughing so loud throughout. I am not a real reviewer, as you know, but let me just say I can only recommend it in the largest way possible. There are some great performances and the script is a goddamn riot. Go see this movie! Anyway, here is the first of six installments of one of my favorite One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beers yet.
