I’ve said it before (I did! you’ll see below!), but “Bucket Cars” was one of the greatest stunts to be pulled off in the short history of the jackass television series. No, not the bucket cars themselves—that was just another one of many ghetto creations to come from desperation runs through the hardware store—but the hospital aftermath that followed. For whatever reason, MTV allowed us to run the footage of Bam Margera’s X-rayed penis for all the world to critique—and they did! But you’ll find all that out and more as Trip Taylor, Michelle Klepper, Ryan Dunn, and Phil and April Margera break down the “Bucket Car” proceedings from nose to tail.

And as for that telegraphed redundancy above, here’s a photo of the day with its accompanying copy that was posted on February 5th, 2008, when jackassworld was still very much in its pre-24-hour infancy:

I’m still of the belief that one of our greatest stunts ever pulled on the old show was getting footage of this X-ray splashed up on television during the “Bucket Cars” segment in the second season. I mean, what didn’t this X-ray show? Right there, plain as fucking day, you can see Bam’s well-defined cock and, purely as a bonus, a distended rectal cavity chock full of crap—a great day for television, indeed.
