It’s been a few days since we posted a good old fashioned photo from jackass, so for today’s weekend digestion I offer up an outtake from the opening sequence to jackass number two. An outtake? Yes, an outtake. I didn’t stutter. Very few people would want to get back up in front of the bull after getting knocked the fuck down, but not Johnny Knoxville. In fact, if I’m not mistaken there were three separate takes on this scene in all where Knoxville gets forcibly ousted frame right through a window (and judging from the light on this particular photo, I would say this was the first because it was damn near dark on the last take).

What went wrong—or should I say, ‘not wrong enough’ with this take? I think it had to do with the initial hit in the living room. Despite all horribly wrong appearances, Knoxville (and most likely Tremaine) probably felt the interior shot didn’t live up to its full bull-busting potential. But if you think Knoxville’s job sucked, just imagine how bad it was for the props crew having to reset that fence and plate glass window every time with a whole production breathing down your neck trying to beat the light. Goddamn primadonna actors…
