I couldn’t even begin to tell you how ridiculously hard it was to get this video on the site. And it wasn’t even a Rights & Clearances issue; just another moronic comedy of errors in the days of our lives here at jackassworld. To go into the flea circus details would confuse you even more, if only because the details themselves were rather muddled at best (and only semi-technical to boot). But whatever, that’s what makes this place purr like the engine of a fine Italian motor car. If it ran any other way then it just might actually be construed as professional, which would surely be a sign that we’re losing our magic Mianus touch.
Anyway, here’s one of the closing anthems to jackass the movie: Andrew W.K.’s “We Want Fun,” as directed by Jeff Tremaine. I was standing right behind Spike when he got beaned by the car tire and it was nothing short of amazing. Just goes to show you that even in all out chaos there remains to be a distinct thread of order in the universe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Spike deserved this radial come uppance from above, but over the years he has contributed his fair share to the karmic pot and on this day it just might’ve been his time to “ante up.”
