photo of the day – bam margera

On the night of what is now simply known as “Bam’s Bad Day” during the production of jackass number two in Louisiana, we were scheduled to film with Jim Karol, a/k/a “The Psychic Madman.” We primarily had some card throwing on the creative agenda, but he’d also brought along a few wolf/bear traps to help break the introductory ice. Steve-O was originally situated in the hot seat next to Jim as the traps were introduced, but such a good game was talked about them that it kind of freaked him out to the point where he wanted nothing whatsoever to do with any of it. And that’s when Bam came into the picture. With barely any set-up to speak of, he walked over, sat down, and plunged his hand into the trap surprising damn near everyone in the room. This bit never made the feature, though, because the basic premise of “The Bear Trap” later became the opening note to the gala musical finale, “The Best of Times.”
