I randomly met Norman Reedus this April at an art show in Canada. I was shooting the event and had a production office in the basement of the show. Amongst the chaos, my friend came in with Norman saying something like, “This guy needs help and he’s obviously cool, so we should help him.” Sure. I asked him where his photography in the art show was from. He said a John Carpenter film called Cigarette Burns that he’d worked on, and I’m pretty sure I punched him. Sorry, Norman, but Halloween is my favorite movie of all time. So to me, working with Carpenter is pretty fucking rock and roll. Not to mention Norman was in The Boondock Saints, also a top caliber piece of film-making. Watch that shit if you haven’t. No, I mean it. So good. Besides killing the mafia on film and doing great John Carpenter Impressions, Norman spends his time running around the world making art. Check it out.
