So me and my cousin Roger Alan Wade got us a radio show on Sirius/XM’s Outlaw channel called The Big Ass Happy Family Jubilee. We play a bunch of our country favorites and talk a whole lot of shit. Usually we have a theme or do a tribute to someone on every show. Some of the themes we have done include: “songs about doin’ it,” “murder ballads,” “great country crooners with large tools,” and “some people we wished were married but weren’t; The Big Ass Happy Family Jubilee salutes George and Cleopatra Jones.” That one was by far our longest theme. Heh heh… We have also done tributes to people you heard of like Paul Newman and Slim Pickens, or we might do a tribute to a guy like Digger O’Dell. (For the record, Digger O’Dell was buried alive in the parking lot of the Cas Walker supermarket in 1960 for about a week to promote Cas’s pole beans.) Anyway, we have no idea what we’re doing, but we have a ball. My cousin tells “jokes,” sings, and picks a little, and we would be very happy if you all would listen in sometime. Oh yeah, it’s on channel 63 and comes on Saturdays at 8pm Eastern and 5 Specific, and below we have assembled some clips from past shows. Each week we will add more to the site. Woo-hoo!
(Note: The Big Ass Happy Family Jubilee can now be heard on XM Satellite Radio, as well as Sirius Radio, on Saturday 8pm ET/ 5pm PT with replays on Sunday 12 midnight ET/ 9pm PT, Wednesday 8pm ET/ 5pm ET and Thursday 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. Outlaw Country is channel 12 on XM, and 63 on Sirius.)
Sincerely,
Knoxville
