I’d never had the opportunity to spend any time in the south until a recent trip I took with a bunch of friends to the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. We drove an RV from LA to Austin and parked it downtown just blocks away from the madness of the festival. It was off the hook. Amongst all of the raging and listening to bands, Johnny Knoxville suggested that we meet up with some of his friends to see if we could get anything cool for jackassworld. One of the random activities with his amazing friends (which I’ll be posting more videos of soon), was to go hang out with Mark Zupan and the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls. No one was really sure how it was all going to play out, but how can you go wrong with a team of bad-ass roller derby girls and a gnarly, full-contact wheelchair rugby player with a custom chair that looks like something out of Mad Max on acid?

Ed. Note: It would be woefully remiss of me to not give a special call out to our friend and former Big Brother skateboard magazine compatriot, Heather Lee Roach, a/k/a Daisy Mae Damage, co-captain of the Austin-based Cherry Bömbs. Cheers, Heather! —Cliver
