Okay, so this really wasn’t meant to be a week of Dimitry, but seeing as he’s racing in zig-zag fashion across America on the Gumball Rally right now we might as well celebrate his absence from the office. Well, that and I regret to pass on the news that legendary Hollywood icon Dom DeLuise has gone back over the rainbow bridge at the age of 75. Dom, as many of you know (or at least one), was a principal actor in many classic films from the ’70s and early ’80s. Considering one of these movies was the original Cannonball Run (1981), I can only imagine that it’s a somber affair for many current Gumballers on the road—well, as somber as you can be in speeds excess of 100mph with five-star hotel parties every night and the ever present long arm of the law around every bend. Rest in peace, Dom.

In parting, I’d like to leave you with this quote of Dom’s from Blazing Saddles (1974), in which he portrayed the Hollywood director Buddy Bizarre. See if it reminds you of anyone here at Dickhouse…
