Hello, widgets. Your best fucking friend in the world, Flux, recently updated the design of its community member profiles. Chances are you’ve already seen them, flipped out, and flipped off your computer, because, as we all well know, change is bad and you should fear the fuck out of it. Brave new world indeed. But now we’re here to tell you to let go of the anger, bypass denial, and get on with acceptance. Flux is as Flux does and we have no choice in the matter, so here are a few tips and tricks to fostering a healthy love/hate relationship.

Quick Sharing of Messages, Videos, Photos, and Links

On the top of your new profile you will find buttons encouraging you to “Share” with your friends—no, not everything, you can keep the STDs and Beanie Babies. So now, with one click, you can upload messages, videos, photos, and links for all your friends to see on jackassworld.

“My Feed”

The big change with the profiles—in case you hadn’t noticed that big white stripe down the middle—is to put all the jackassworld community activity front and center. How ya doin’. So whenever folks leave a comment, rate a photo, or upload new content, you will see this in “My Feed.” If you’re tired of seeing all the web cam comments clogging up your shit then use the pull downs after “Show Me” to filter this feed.

“Show Me”

The “Show Me” pull down will display different information, depending whose profile you are on. So if you’re looking at your friends feed (pervert), show me “Everything” from “Me” will display everything your friend has been up to. On your profile, show me “Everything” from “Me” will display what you’ve been up to. Does that make sense? It should if you’re from Missouri.

Where did all my old shit go, you bastards?

So you had perfected your old layout on jackassworld and want to know where it all went. Well, simply click on “About Me” under “My Feed” and voila, there it is in all it’s muffed-up glory. You’ll most likely need to rearrange to suit your needs. Unless your need is a thneed, in which case you can go sit on a bell jar.

What can I change on the “My Feed” page?

Nothing. Not a goddamn thing. All the info on the main page of your profile is consistent across every profile. We’ll be adding/changing/rotating what displays on the right-hand column as we add new features and promotions. But you can’t control it, so we sternly advise you to just let it go. Instead, try luring folks into your “About Me” page if you want a personalized/custom experience.
