No one is more optimistic than me. I have walked into many a stunt with very little chance of success, but in my mind I am thinking I got it. Most of the time I don’t, of course, but that doesn’t interfere with my positive thinking. Well, even my unshakable sanguineness was pierced walking into Tuesday night’s “results show” of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
My dear friend Steve-O, although improving every week, was in last place in the judges scores once again. I really thought my buddy’s dancing days were over, and I wanted to be there to support him should my prognostications come true. At the very least, I thought he was in the bottom two and would have to participate in the dreaded “dance-off.” Well, shame on me for going to the dark side, because my bro pulled through. AMERICA* pulled him through with the popular vote and he didn’t even have to compete in the dance-off. I have never been so happy to be so wrong in my whole life. Way to go, Steve-O, and thank you America!
Love,
* Ed. note: I’m certain Knoxville meant to include everyone abroad that voted as well—specifically those in the highly international community here—but I’m also fairly certain that he doesn’t know you all have the ability to vote. So special thanks to all that went the extra thousand-odd miles to swing the vote in Steve-O’s favor!
