Damn you, Andy Bell! Why did you have to taunt me so with your whiskey-soaked words of competitive drinking?! You are big troublemaker, is what you are. Before I get too wound up, Andy Bell is the “charismatic loudmouth” on MTV’s Nitro Circus and I sat down (almost fell down is more like it) with him for this installment of One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer. Before the interview Andy was going into great detail about how much he intended on us drinking during our time together. Hospitable by nature—and never wanting to disappoint a guest—I obliged his request and ended up with some foggy memories in my head (and on my finger … don’t ask) that I shan’t be able to shake. On top of that, my liver almost quit speaking to me entirely after going through a good deal of bourbon, a fifth of scotch, and twelve beers in our 80-minute inebriatory slobber fest. Well, Andy, although that alcohol tally is unfortunately accurate and a good portion of this interview will never see the light of day (once again, don’t ask) this is easily one of my favorites. Somehow someway in the midst of many drinks, I actually learned and liked a lot about a pretty extraordinary som’ bitch. I don’t like wrasslin’ ya’, but I will drink with you anytime ….just hopefully not this much.

Sincerely,

Knoxville
