Somewhere in time, a community member by the name of Jason was very keen on collecting all the information about the music used on jackass, both in the televised (good) and DVD (bad) sense. He had a pretty good list going for a while (click here to check out a thread), but I’m not so sure how active he is on the site anymore. I know he became rather critical of our apparent ineptitude at one point and, as a result, Seth told him to “suck it.” Then again, there aren’t many people in the community who haven’t been told to “suck it” at one point or another (a few so lucky to have even been told “go fuck yourself”), and at this point it really is just a term of endearment among fiends.
Anyway, Jason once asked me what song was used on the old “Lake Jump” segment from the shores of Camp Pain, and it took me a while before I remembered it was Intoxicated, the band in which master ramp craftsman Tim Payne’s brother Erik played guitar. The track title, more specifically, is “Flood,” should you still need it, Jason, although you might have already had Wolfie, our own resident musical savant, supply you with this info.

To get even more trivial, though, Erik Payne went on to play in Andrew WK’s hard rock outfit in 2002—the very same AWK that provided the closing anthem of “We Want Fun” to jackass the movie and a steel-belted radial tire to the head of Spike Jonze during its cataclysmic music video shoot.
