happy birthday, mat hoffman!
I met Mat Hoffman in 1987 at a demo he rode in for Rockville BMX. He was just a kid, but he was already going twice as big as anybody had ever gone on a bike. It was like watching Michael Jordan in High School, you just knew that he was special. Out of college, my first real job was art director for BMX Action/ Freestylin’ magazine and I had a front row seat watching Mat become a legend. He is the gnarliest person I know and I’m proud to call him my friend. Happy birthday Mat, you som’ bitch!!!
