When Return of the King came out in 2003, I remember sitting in the theater not really wanting the Lord of the Rings trilogy to come to an end. Then again, I don’t exactly think Peter Jackson did either. On no less than three occasions toward the seeming end of the film did it appear to be over with the credits about to scroll when all of a sudden it would lurch forward with yet another chapter. I’m beginning to get a similar feel here and now with these daily “Where Are They Now” posts, but this will all wrap up tomorrow with the final installment of parts 17 and 18. So for now, know the end is near. No, not that end. We still have a good couple years, I think, before Armageddon sets in and we get to watch via Pay Per View as the Big Bearded White Dude and The Devil Himself duke it out once and for all at Madison Square Gardens (sponsored by Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and IBM, the official sponsors of The Last Days on Earth). Get ready to ruuuuuuumble!
