I stage dived once. ONCE. Nobody caught me, so it fuckin’ hurt. I thought I broke my coccyx. So it’s a tad frustrating to see feats such as this. Is he trying to die? Gnarly.
And then on the opposite page we have the complete antithesis of “gnarly”: gay goth. I remember we were laughing our asses off when we were laying out this opener. “No, no, make it gayer,” I remember saying. But then that’s Bam. He doesn’t do anything half way.
As promised last week, here’s the Big Brother Bam interview. It was conducted by Chris Nieratko and it appeared in Big Brother issue 74 in July of 2001 (a pre-9/11 world).
