I lived out of a backpack before I moved in here. Instead of buying one bar of soap, etc., it was my dream to have a place like this where I could stock up on all that stuff and now have half a drawer of soap.Unfortunately this place hasn’t attracted many ladies for unknown reasons. I did in fact get too comfortable in this room and go out on the town less than before. I like the room, but I don’t like most of the people in the building. I worked for the building for two years and received free rent, but now am back to paying my rent like a normal person and not having to work where I live anymore. I had an apartment in Hollywood in 1992 that I just bailed out of, and if you look at like so, I ended up back in another one thirteen years later. Pretty crazy. This place has helped me out a lot. As soon as I moved in, things that used to bother my conscience didn’t matter anymore because I had my own place. So far this room hasn’t had many cockroaches, a few spiders, so I’m doing good. I kind of want to move somewhere else, but the location of this place (central Hollywood) keeps me staying here. The big window overlooks a banana tree garden. This is definitely a lot different than the Midwest, which is what I wanted. The Midwest can be kind of ugly in my opinion.
