Lately my inbox here on jackassworld has been besieged by questions about this so called “Too Hot” tape that was mentioned in Johnny Knoxville’s recent interview with Stephen Chao. Queries like, “What is it?” “Where can I find it?” and “Was it for sale?” What better way to respond to all of the above than with a scatty little clip from that very same “Too Hot” tape.

Obviously this crappy incident from Camp Pain was never going to air on the TV show (where the bulk, if not all of the footage came from in the first place), but it had to find a home somewhere other than the dead end warren of an MTV storage vault. So as the show came to a close in late 2001, we set about collecting all the bits deemed above and beyond the call of acceptably gross, too dangerous, wrongly accused of blood borne pathogen issues, or just plain naughty, and output them onto a smattering of VHS tapes for cast and crew enjoyment only.

Some of the more infamous bits to be found on this tape included Knoxville’s “Convict” prank and “Box Down Stairs” folly, Bam Margera’s umbrella leap off the bridge, Steve-O’s “Human Urinal,” the original hotel room “Vomelet” exchange, and Chris Pontius’s self-pleasured ending to the Playgirl photo shoot (this last of which did find its way onto the Internet at some point and for all I know it can still probably be found in its more dark, sticky, and seedy corners). We’ve since posted a lot of this “Too Hot” material here on jackassworld, but a few segments were also thrown onto the special unrated DVD release of jackass the movie in 2006, including this elevated pooper of Steve-O’s.
