Shortly after our office was up and running in December 2007, one of the Dickhouse lackeys slunk in with two very large framed portraits of Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine done by artist Sarah Green (who is interviewed in that there video right up above). When asked what exactly he was doing with the artwork, he sheepishly replied that it was supposed to be hung up for display on the jackassworld walls. Apparently there was no longer any suitable wall space to be found in the esteemed Dickhouse office space for such king-size works of art. This irked a few of us (much like how it bothered us that all the male lower caste of Dickhouse were ordered by Shanna to deposit their fecal matter in our office bathroom and not their respective highfalutin toilet), and it seemed mildly offensive that we should be made to stare at our “bosses” any more than need be. Not that we didn’t appreciate Sarah’s art, of course, it’s just that it all felt too 1984 in the Orwellian sense. Voices of insurrection abounded and the portraits were nearly placed in the bathroom stalls, but then even that felt somewhat violating in nature. So instead they were hung in the kitchen. Little did we know that months later we’d walk in one morning only to find JxPx installing the former Paramount mural of the two Tom of Dickhouses coupling in gay homosexual-style on another prominent wall of ours. Well, at least we’ve got that Pricasso portrait of Dave Carnie to offset the whole narcissistic balance of things.
