This site could not be more aptly named. The other day, while filming Eddie Barbanell for the upcoming jackassworld weather report, we held an impromptu geography quiz for the crew—most all of whom failed miserably—the worst of all, Shanna Zablow. And it’s not like we were looking at all the broken puzzle pieces of the former U.S.S.R. or that mystery land of Myanmar. It was a simple map of the United States, and apparently 50 of these age-old parcels is far too much for our citizens too handle. The most frequent incorrectly guessed state in America? Iowa. Which just so happened to dominate the national news headlines for the past week with all that flooding.
Protesters recently attacked the MTV building in Mumbai, India. No, they weren’t upset about the current state of affairs with jackassworld, rather some disgruntled Sikhs over posters depicting a Sikh girl massaging a man. In other guerrilla warfare tactics, community member Dania weaseled herself all the way from Canada onto the Tom Green show via the wonders of telephony to raise awareness for jackassworld (thanks again, Dania, your efforts will be rewarded accordingly; and believe me, if we could ship Ehren via parcel post we surely would). Numerous others in the community here have taken to spreading the word on youtube, myspace, and their local campuses and/or drinking establishments, while a select few commandos followed the good intentioned but ill-advised suggestions of The Wolf Den®. Over the weekend he’d advised them to join the fluxed-up 50 Cent community, which only resulted in a deluge of “gangsta-ass pedos” terrorizing their inboxes, according to Scented Glue. Once again, all your efforts are appreciated by the few, the proud, and the brave that are holding down the fort here in our cave.
On jackassworld live this week, Rick Kosick spotlighted “you,” and toured the community profile pages with off-screen and occasionally off-color commentary by Seth and myself. Despite its low caliber impact many viewers enjoyed the show (especially seeing Rick denied access to Katie’s profile), all except for Jason. Apparently he didn’t find it the least bit interesting that we were taking an active interest in our community, which is odd, because we find you guys to be as much a part of this site as we are. Anyway, look for the replay to post on Sunday in its usual abbreviated form.

Our current art competition comes to a close next week, Wednesday, June 25th, to be precise, at which time we’ll no longer be accepting entries. So make sure you either: a) upload your work before then; or b) browse the current gallery and vote for those that tickle your art fancy. Lots of good stuff there, as well as a few things that aren’t. Here’s one from JackySnail that unfortunately got filtered out in moderation land (for who knows what reason), but deserves a good nod nonetheless.
Coming in the days ahead: Johnny Knoxville’s “One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer” with Lemmy from Motörhead will indeed post this Saturday; JxPx Blackmon shares some of the awesome crap he’s saved throughout the years on jackass and Wildboyz in “My Awesome Crap” (which should go up on Sunday); and then mid-week we’ll have a video glimpse into the shenanigans that went down at Steve-O’s birthday party last weekend.
