Chris has been an old friend of ours since even before Big Brother (Chris was a frequent contributor to the magazine). I went to college with Chris in San Luis Obispo where we met Pontius and his gang of hooligans and we skateboarded the afternoons away in the warm sun getting high on Mountain Dew and hanging pots and pans from our penises. Over the years, Chris has been honing his skills with the brush. His early paintings featured sketchy devils and crazy space aliens having pillow fights, but now he’s a goddamn, full-blown fine artist. And as such, he was recently commissioned to paint a portrait of Knoxville.

“I was asked,” Chris wrote, “by a friend of a friend (who is now a friend and had seen the portrait of Scuzz I did) to paint a picture for a friend of his for his birthday. Well, little did I know that the birthday boy was Johnny Knoxville. And little do you know that I actually accepted the job and got it done on time. It turned out pretty dang good and I laughed while painting it.”

I guess Chris was asked to paint Knoxville in “a compromising position.” Travolta on a leash and giving birth to Spike Jonze (Total Recall style)…doesn’t get much more compromising.
